ASKED
QUESTIONS
Can the system process glass? Yes, it can; however, the glass will break into small fragments during processing. It’s best suited for lower volumes of beer, wine, and similar beverages with total solids under 8%.
Can the system process both wet and dry items? Yes, it can. We can provide a wet/dry system equipped with a pump, giving you the flexibility to accept and process a wider range of organic food materials for recycling.
Are you the manufacturer of the Turbo Separator? Yes, we are the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) for all Turbo Separators sold worldwide. Our products are delivered through local distributors to ensure you receive the best possible support and service.
Are there items that cannot be processed in your machines? Items such as frozen turkeys, hams, and melons behave like bowling balls inside the machine and can cause problems. Raw meats also present challenges because they don’t separate well and won’t pass through screens as intended. In addition, sticky or gooey materials are difficult to process unless they’re blended with drier items, like cookies or crackers, to improve separation.
Does Scott Equipment provide installation services? At this time, we don’t provide installation services. Typically, local rigging crews or millwrights can offload and assemble our prefabricated, bolt-together subassemblies in just a few days. After that, a local electrician can complete the remaining connections. Commissioning is included in the full system package.
How much space will I need? The right solution depends on your target tons per day, the materials you plan to process, your site layout, and where you want the organics and recovered packaging discharged. Fill out the contact form—we’d love to learn more about your operation and goals.
