1966
THE BEGINNING
Founded by Dick Lucas in Jordan, MN, Scott Equipment began as a small machine shop with a big commitment to quality workmanship, innovations, and customer service.
1967-1968
GROWTH IN AGRICULTURE
The Rotary Drum was the first piece of equipment sold by Scott Equipment, marking the beginning of the company’s long history of developing dependable industrial processing solutions. That same year, Scott Equipment expanded its product line with the introduction of the Ribbon Mixer, High-Speed Blender, and Reel Scalper, establishing a strong foundation for continued innovation and growth.
THE 1970s
GROWTH BEYOND MINNESOTA
Scott Equipment entered a new era of growth by making its first international sale to Taiwan, relocating to a larger facility in New Prague to support increasing demand, and earning its first patent for Smooth Wall Panels. These milestones marked the company’s transition from a growing regional manufacturer to an innovative global equipment supplier.
THE 1980s
GLOBAL EXPANSION & PRODUCT GROWTH
The 1980s marked a decade of significant growth for Scott Equipment. The company expanded into Africa and Europe, introduced new products including the Pit Eliminator Conveyor and the Tender Blend, and celebrated the sale of its 1,000th machine, demonstrating growing demand and an expanding global presence.
THE 1990s
EXPANDING INNOVATION & MANUFACTURING
The early 1990s marked a period of rapid innovation and expansion for Scott Equipment. The company introduced several flagship products, including the Pugmill, Indirect Dryer, Crusher, Twin Shaft Mixer, and Air Swept Tubular (AST) Dryer, while establishing a test lab, manufacturing the first Turbo Separator, and completing its first sale to Australia. To support continued growth, Scott Equipment also expanded its manufacturing capabilities with the purchase of its Arlington, Minnesota facility.
THE 2000s
GROWTH, LEADERSHIP & INNOVATION
The 2000s marked another chapter of growth for Scott Equipment. The company expanded its product offering with the introduction of the Cake Feeder, reinforced its commitment to workplace safety by joining MNSHARP, and successfully transitioned ownership to the second generation of the Lucas family, positioning Scott Equipment for continued innovation and long-term success.
THE 2010s
CELEBRATING 50 YEARS & DRIVING INFORMATION
Scott Equipment celebrated its 50th anniversary, honoring five decades of innovation, quality craftsmanship, and customer partnerships. Building on that legacy, the company introduced the THOR Separator, expanding its recycling and separation technologies while continuing to develop industry-leading processing solutions for customers worldwide.

EXPANDING FOR THE FUTURE
The 2020s have been defined by continuous innovation and strategic growth. Scott Equipment expanded its product portfolio with the Evergreen and Round Silos, introduced a Mobile Separator Trailer to bring recycling solutions directly to customers, completed a major facility expansion with a new sales office, and celebrated 60 years of manufacturing excellence. These milestones reflect the company’s ongoing investment in innovation, customer success, and the future of industrial processing.
