An industrial shredder is size reduction equipment used to break bulky or difficult materials into smaller, more manageable particles.
Scott Equipment’s Shredderizer uses a single-shaft, high-speed rotor with configurable hammers to reduce material size.
Unlike equipment designed primarily to break apart soft agglomerates, the Shredderizer is built for applications requiring more aggressive size reduction of larger, tougher, or fibrous materials.

SHREDDING vs. CRUSHING: WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE?
Shredders and crushers both reduce material size, but they are designed for different processing challenges.
A shredder is typically used when larger, tougher, fibrous, or bulky materials need more aggressive particle size reduction.
A crusher is often better suited for breaking apart oversized pieces, lumps, and agglomerates without excessively reducing the entire material stream.
Scott Equipment offers both the Shredderizer and Dominator Crusher, allowing the size reduction method to be matched to the material and desired finished product.
