Scott Equipment jacketed batch mixers combine industrial batch mixing with controlled heating or cooling in one vessel. A dimple-jacketed mixing chamber circulates steam, hot oil, glycol, chilled water, or other thermal media around the mixer to help maintain the required product temperature during processing.
Available in multiple agitator designs and custom configurations, Scott jacketed mixers are built for food ingredients, chemicals, minerals, polymers, agricultural products, and other bulk materials that require both mixing and temperature control.

WHAT IS A JACKETED BATCH MIXER?
A jacketed batch mixer is an industrial mixer with an outer jacket surrounding the mixing chamber. Heating or cooling media flows through the jacket while the agitator continuously moves the material inside.
This allows the equipment to mix and control product temperature at the same time, reducing the need for separate mixing and heating or cooling equipment.
HOW DOES A JACKETED MIXER WORK?

Ribbon, paddle, plow, or twin-shaft agitators continuously move the material to create a consistent blend.
HEAT OR COOL
Thermal media circulates through the jacket and heat transfers through the mixer wall while the product is continuously mixed.
DISCHARGE
Once the required mix and temperature are reached, the finished batch is discharged for teh next processing step.
