ABOUT DICK LUCAS

Richard “Dick” Lucas believed that hard work, innovation, and education could change lives.

After serving in the United States Marine Corps and studying business, he founded Scott Equipment Company in 1966.

His entrepreneurial spirit, commitment to excellence, and passion for helping others continue to inspire the company’s investment in future generations through this scholarship.

“After graduating with a degree in Aerospace Engineering and Project Management, my next chapter begins in Palmdale, California. I am excited to begin my career where I look forward to helping define what is possible with next-generation aircraft and contributing to technologies that support our warfighters.

I am sincerely grateful to Scott Equipment for their generous financial support through the Dick Lucas Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship has been an incredible reminder that dedication and hard work truly pay off, and I am deeply thankful for the support I recieved throughout my education.”
